Ooty is famoushill station where weather is very tropical & cool whereas Kanyakumari is a beach destination & famous among pilgrims.

Kerala or “God’s own Country” as it is aptly known, lies on a narrow strip of land in the South-West of India, wedged between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats.  It is a UNESCO world heritage site due to a remarkably high level of biological diversity.  From the impressive Backwaters, a phenomenal network of brackish canals and lakes covering hundreds of square miles and renowned for the famous overnight houseboats, to the Nilgiri Mountains (Blue Mountains) which are part of the Western Ghats, the vibrant cultures, natural resources and wildlife are bountiful in Kerala.  Let the lovely serpentine roads through tropical jungles, the majestic Nilgiri Mountains and the infamous tea plantations mesmerize you.

DETAILED PROGRAMME

Day 01 : Arrive in Cochin.
You are welcomed at Cochin airport and transferred to your hotel. Balance of the day you are at leisure.

Day 02 : Cochin - Attapapadi  
Depart from Cochin. En route stop at Kodungallor, the capital city of the Later Chera dynasty. The Roman empire had a continuous trading connection with this region. Along with pepper, commodities such as pearls, muslin, ivory, diamond, silk and perfumes were exported using the maritime facilities of Kodungallur. Sulaiman, an Arab visitor to Mahodayapuram during this period, recorded the economic prosperity of the region and also testified to the high morals kept by its people. Also, he describes the Chinese traders in the city; they are described as purchasing articles such as pepper, cinnamon, ivory, pearls, cotton fabrics and teak wood, while selling fishing nets, silk and porcelain goods. Kodungallur also was an important gateway for cultural relations and laid the foundation of a composite culture in this part of the Chera country; Christianity, Judaism and Islam entered the region in the early centuries AD.

Drive to stop at Guruvayur an important temple town in Northern Kerala. According to legends may be 5,000 years old as the Guruvayur temple idol is. It is also believed that Lord Krishna, asked 2 sages to take the idol from his temple in Dwarka while the city was being destroyed and establish it in Kerala. Drive to Attappad and check into your lodge.

Day 03 : Attapadi - Polachi 
Explore Attapai Reserved Forest bordering Silent Valley. Later drive to Palani a beautiful & important temple town in Tamil Nadu. You will drive through some of the Tamil villages to Polalchi.

Day 04: Polachi - Kodaikanal
Check out from your hotel and ride through country side, villages to Kodaikanal a beautiful hill station in Tamil Nadu. The earliest residents of Kodaikanal were the Palaiyar tribal people. The town was established by American Christian missionaries and British bureaucrats in 1845 as their summer residence to avoid the scorching heat in the mainland. Later Pillar rock.

Day 05: Kodaikanal - Munnar
You’ll drive through villages of Vattlakund-Periyakulam-Teni-Bodinayakkanur-Periyakulam to Munnar. Visit the tea factory.

Day 06 : Munnar - Thekkady
Morning ride through country side to Thekkady and check into your lodge. En route visit spice gardens.
Evening: Elephant ride in Thekkady and Kerala Marshal Art Performance

Day 07 : Thekkady
Morning: Ayurveda massage at the lodge or nearby clinic (on direct payment basis). Afternoon: Enjoy a half a day jungle visit. You might get chance wildlife and also see birdlife.

Day 08: Thekkady - Courtalam (220 Kms / 06 Hrs)
Drive through Rajapalayam to Kuttalam a touristic destination bordering Kerala. Check into your hotel on arrival. Evening: Explore visit Tenkasi temple.

Day 09: Courtalam - Kovalam (200 Kms / 06 Hrs)
You’ll drive through some of the traditional Tamil and Keralian villages before you reach Trivandrum. Check into your Arabian sea facing resort

Day 10 : Kovalam
You are at leisure on this day. You have the option to go for Ayurveda massage on direct payment.

Day 11 : Kovalam - Aalleppey (180 Kms / 05 Hrs)
Drive to Alleppey and embark your houseboat.All three meals service on board houseboat.

Day 12 : Alleppey - Cochin (75 Kms / 02 Hrs)
Drive Cochin and check in to your hotel. Afternoon: Explore the beautiful Fort Cochin, Jewish street, Synagogue. Evening free.

Day 13 :  Cochin - Onward destination
You are drive to airport in time to connect your onward destination.
